Wayne J. Archambo, CFA – General Partner, Portfolio Manager
Mr. Archambo founded Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC in January 2010. He is the lead portfolio manager and equity analyst on all three investment strategies. Prior to starting Monarch Partners, Mr. Archambo was a Lead Portfolio Manager and Managing Director with Blackrock, Inc. Mr. Archambo served across the organization as:
- Portfolio Manager at BlackRock Advisors, LLC.
- Managing Director, Head of Small & Mid Cap Value Equity
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2002, Mr. Archambo was a Founding Partner and Manager of Robeco Boston Partners, L.P.,. during his tenure, he was responsible for the development and management of over $1.3 billion of small cap value assets and $1.5 billion of mid cap value assets for 50 institutional clients. Mr. Archambo was also a Member of Robeco Boston Partners' Equity Strategy Committee and Advisory Committee. From 1989 to 1995, he was Senior Vice President and a Member of the Equity Policy Group at The Boston Company Asset Management, Inc. He launched the firm's small cap value product in 1992 and the mid cap value product in 1993. Prior to joining The Boston Company, Mr. Archambo spent six years as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst for Boston-based Systematic Investors. He is a Member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Nichols College and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
Deb Donahue – Partner
Ms. Donahue is Chief Operating Officer and Head of Trading at Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining Monarch Partners Asset Management, Ms. Donahue was a Director in Equity Trading at BlackRock, Inc. for five years where she primarily traded Small Cap and Mid Cap stocks. Previously she was a Principal at Boston Partners Asset Management where she was an equity trader for institutional accounts, mutual funds and hedge funds, trading Large, Mid and Small Cap stocks. Prior to that she worked at Evergreen Keystone Investments for 10 years where she held positions in domestic and international trading, foreign exchange trading, quantitative research and portfolio management in the privately managed separate accounts area. Deb is a member of the Boston Security Trader’s Association. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Jane Liou Li – Partner
Ms. Li is an Equity Investment Analyst at Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining Monarch Partners, Jane Liou Li was an analyst and fund manager at Fidelity Investments. She was a member of the technology research team and managed the IT Services Select Fund. Prior to managing Select IT Services, Jane was a member of the Capital Appreciation team supporting Contrafund and Magellan Fund. Previously, she had been an analyst at SPO Partners, a private equity firm, and before that at Goldman Sachs. Jane earned her B.S. in Business from the University of California, at Berkeley and her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Paul W. Elia, CFA – Partner
Mr. Elia is an Equity Investment Analyst at Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining Monarch Partners, Paul was a Portfolio Analyst on the Small & Mid-Cap Value team at Chartwell Investment Partners. Prior to Chartwell he was a Research Assistant in the Global Equity Research division of Federated Investors. Paul earned a Bachelors degree with honors in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Sean M Greely. CFA – Partner
Mr. Greely is an Equity Investment Analyst at Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining Monarch Partners, Sean was a principal at Baltimore Capital Management and the BCM Financial Services Fund, Ltd. Prior to BCM he was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Hillman Capital Management, Inc. Sean earned his B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Tufts University. He holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Operations and Administration
Henry J. Lawlor Jr. – Partner
Mr. Lawlor serves as the Sales and Consultant Relations Representative, and is also the Chief Compliance officer at the firm. Prior to joining Monarch Partners, Mr. Lawlor was a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Prides Capital LLC, a small/micro capitalization investment firm that specialized in activist investing. At Prides Capital, Mr. Lawlor oversaw all non-investment functions at the firm, including operations, finance, compliance, along with marketing and client service. Prior to joining Prides Capital in 2004, Mr. Lawlor was Partner and Managing Director of Boston Partners Asset Management, a subsidiary of Robeco USA, since 1995. Mr. Lawlor’s responsibilities included oversight of the Boston Partners Family of Funds as well as client service and sales responsibilities for institutional plan sponsors in the southeastern part of the United States. Prior to that he spent four years at The Boston Company. Mr. Lawlor earned his B.S. in Finance from Babson College in 1990.
Alexander T. Noble
Mr. Noble is the Operations Manager at Monarch Partners Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining Monarch, Mr. Noble was the Chief Administrative Officer, and Head of Operations & Technology, at Monashee Investment Management LLC. His responsibilities included implementing and overseeing the firms trading, operations, and reporting systems. He was also responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the fund. Alec began his career in 2001, working for State Street Research & Management, which was acquired by BlackRock in 2005. He has over 13 years of Trading and Operations experience. Alec earned his Masters degree with honors in Investment Management from Boston University.
Alexander E. Archambo
Mr. Archambo is an Operations Analyst at Monarch Partners. Alex has been working at Monarch since its inception in 2010 working in Operations and Trading. He earned his B.S in Finance from Providence College in 2014.
